i have a wierd performance problem , after few min of smooth play fps drops to 5-10. i tried with all settings from low to ultra and with old and this newest beta drivers .. all the time the same ... 5 minutes realy good gameplay and kaboom slideshow

atm im running at quad 9550 , 4GB ddr2 1066, gf 8800gt (sadly my ati44870x2 fried few days ago grrr)

What happens if you drop the texture settings down a notch? (likely a v-ram issue)

Otherwise you'd have to think it'd be a ram issue. But 4gb is heaps.

Sounds like a memory leak.

Either that or your GPU is overheating and throttling itself to prevent damage. Does this just happen with the witcher or other games?

just with the witcher .. i just finished 2h play on lineage 2 and no problems at all

Lineage 2 isn't the type of game to kill a GPU.
