Hi guys,

I just bought my first GOG game, Witcher 2.

They included a CD key in the confirmation email, what exactly am I supposed to do with that CD key?

Thanks.
Hm... I don't recall getting a CD key when I bought my GOG copy of The Witcher 2. I'll go check my old e-mails, will get back to you as soon as possible.

In the meanwhile, hopefully someone more in the know than me can answer this for you.

[EDIT] It seems I did get a CD key along with my Witcher 2 payment receipt e-mail! What I can say is that it's not required to play the game at all, as I've been playing it just fine without even knowing of the existence of the CD key. It seems to give us access to some free content and updates as soon as you register it.

Not much, anymore. When they removed the DRM, they removed the need to input the key anywhere.

Those who got the game from another source can redeem their CD key for a backup copy from GOG.

Thanks, it makes sense that way, but I was really surprised to see them give me a key when I bought it directly from GOG.

I'll just keep the email in case anything comes up where I actually need it.
