I think it is normal for any company that released or hired some of their staff, their staff leave for personal / undisclosed reason, doesn't share the same ambition with the company anymore, fired etc. It happen everyday, and CDProjekt is no exception. By no mean it is an indication of another fallen legacy or sort, too early to say that.

hmm...I have mixed feelings on that one. A Great job...well...need to know more, but tw2 had a few holes so not the success it should have been in my opinion. given the initial release I wouldn't be surprised if he was burned out. Read the interview. Didn't seem to say a lot there, but given the fact he had left, its not surprising I guess

Well that explains why he was the "Face" of the franchise since that is what PR and Marketing guys do...show their product to the public

While he is a valuable asset, much prefer a marketing guy leaving over a lead designer or coder. Well PR / Marketing job title will require lots of travelling. Have to pretty much be at all the game conventions to show the product etc. He probably has a wife and kids and got tired of the travelling.

It's not a yay, the game was already designed with consoles in mind, if they can't release it on xbox all of these efforts will be in vain, the company will not gain a good portion of income they expected to get and it'll be more likely that we'll see a pc game designed with more consolish features than this one instead of less consolish features and more effort put into console version. Don't get me wrong, i love the game, it deserves an at least 93-94 in my opinion but it's just that i liked the fighting system of The Witcher more, which made me feel like it was a game definitely developed pc gaming and pc gaming only.

You know, maybe he's just so much of a witcher fan himself, he finally wants to play a game for once, get surprised for once, instead of producing it and knowing every tiny bit of the game by heart - and not even in chronological order. :)

It is either Gop left unhappy (some unforeseen stuff should have happened, but no one knows) or Gop wanted to try something else.

perhaps his departure and the recent lack of communication by cdred are no coincidence?
