eskiMoe: I'll probably pick up Risen after I'm done with The Witcher 2 (or feel like I need a small pause from it :P)

I've heard good things about it and Risen 2 looks very intriguing.
Risen is a fantastic game if you can get into it. It's a little punishing at the start. Highly recommended.
I have a Dual Quad Core Xeon 2.8 GHz, 10GB Ram and a 1GB ATI 5870 graphics card...should I be able to go to top settings or will I have to pull back at all?
I think UberSampling is just a fancy word for Super Sampling. Which is a very taxing form of AA that guarantees you image quality on par of press release shots.

Where you literally have a completely clean picture with no jaggies visible. It's really taxing and honestly I'm sure even a single GTX 580 would choke.

That clearly should be ÜberSampling, since ëvëry vövël lööks mörë härdcörë wïth twö döts äbövë!

You should rename your GoG account to VöödööEcönömist

You forgot the ï and Ë.

Is it possible to change the nick? I'll go and check, never wondered about that.
Oh well, its just a couple of days and we will find out if the minimum requirements hold or else forced to buy a meaner gpu card.
WTF is a Vignette ... I know Vinagrette only!

Weird is the game auto settings giving me a medium/high config with my old GF 9600 GT 512MB DDR3 .. it's a cool GPU for Bioware games but TW2 is too demanding for it. hehe

Gotta find my custom settings for a good fps with enough gpx quality!
Thank you so much for this post I was looking everywhere for a good explanation in the manuals and on the official website. I had to get rid of that horrible motion blur it was driving me crazy
Does anyone know what video card RAM settings are appropriate for the given memory values in the config? All it says is to set it to the "appropriate value" for your card memory with no guidance on what sort of values to pair with the given settings...

Large seems to work just fine for my 1GB ATI HD5870.

Running the game on Ultra with "Ubersampling", AA, Motionblur turned off.
