So I just finished Witcher 3 and went backwards and started to play W2 ( never heard of Witcher series before and was told I could play W3 w/out having to play1 and 2...for anyone who was wondering why I did that).

Anyways, I am having the worst experience playing W2 on my computer. Im not using the keyboard, Im using a controller to play figuing it would be easier. Well after getting extremely frustrated with the very begining skipping, I finaly made it to where the actual gameplay begins and Im ready to call it quits! It's terrible! It's very slow, I can barely use any signs on command, justthe whole thing is terrible.

Anyone know if the keyboard is better? Any suggesstions at all for better gameplay would be so helpful! :-)

Thx guys!

I can't say if keyboard is better because I only played it with a keyboard but I never had a bad experience doing so. Just try it out.
In my opion only sport games and (often) platformers feel better to play with a controller. But in the end it`s a personal thing. Some say so others so. You have to try it out for yourself and decide.

Your right. I'll try the keyboard and see what happens. I started out with the keyboard but didn't get very far. That was before I had to change my settings so the game would actually play. Thx for your advice! I'd hate to give up on such a great game!
I would recommend trying out the Full Combat Rebalance mod which updates lots of things about Geralt’s movements and animations (among other things). I only played a little bit of the beginning without it (with a controller) and I also found the movement to be somehow really jumpy & unresponsive and the mod completely fixed the problem.

It changes lots of other things about the gameplay also, but I haven't played without it so I can't say if the other changes are for better of worse, but it's worth it just for the better movement in my opinion.

Love the witcher games, and the background to them... but I couldn't bear the first two as released (have the same issues with W3 too, but the polish is better and the result more bearable)...

FCR 1.6a and FCR 2 transformed the gameplay for me into something far more enjoyable.
There is a culling of the 'loot ballooning' which some criticise as being "no loot left in" or "all the same and no point", but I prefer the slight and subtle improvements and more consistent balance through the game.

This "loot expansion and skills on a cliff" is the biggest problem I have with W3 too, and something I look forward to having the tools to attack in due course.
