So, in case I managed to miss it, I had a question about the School of the Viper.

In the flashbacks and pretty much every conversation I can remember, there were three members of the School of the Viper. Letho, Auckes, and Serrit.

However, who in the world was the witcher that tried to kill King Foltest in the end of the first game? Since even the flashbacks seem to indicate there were only three members left of the School, was this just an oversight on CPR's part and they just forgot to add a fourth member for the flashbacks?

I'm guessing Letho refers to the only surviving members, with the assassin of the first attempt no longer counted?

But, even in your flashback showing them as you all hunt the Wild Hunt, there were only three members. Or did I miss something? :p

To be crystal clear, that all occurs before the events of the first game, so there should have been four members...right? :/

It's probably an oversight, but I don't think they ever explicitly mention that there are three members of School of the Viper, or that all the member were at the first meeting with Geralt.
Letho explicitly mentions that there are two members in addition to himself, Auckes, and Serrit and that these two members are currently in hiding -- those two guys are part of why he's doing all of this. So the three guys who went on the Wild Hunt expedition aren't the only members of the Viper School; they're just the only ones who went on that expedition.

I just remembered this image too:

I'm assuming because of the proximity that we have Geralt and the other members of the Viper school.

Or is that Zoltan? Could be a dwarf...

I mean whatever happened to the other surviving members of Kaer Mohren?

Took me a while to find this thread from google. Beat it last night and had this same question this morning. Even when you get Letho to unveil their plan, he never mentions the original attempt on Foltest. Maybe Letho didn't know.

I'm thinking it's an oversight.
