Did anyone randomly go into a room that locks with symbols all over the walls u need to do in a certain order to unlock it ??

I don't recall a locking room with symbols.

I do recall 3 rooms with symbols that must be decyphered to complete the gargoyle contract.

Do you mean the room with 4 symbols where you have to extinguish?

Well there is some nice stuff in the chest. I opened it by trial and error. But when I reached there it was too late for me (in terms of the stage of game). By the way does anyone know if there are any hints on how to solve the damn puzzle?

a few rooms ?? i finished chapter 3 so fast lol i didnt think there was anything in chapter 3 but the main quests..

I only found 1 it was close to where the main quest left you in chapter 3 at the start.. ive actually forgot exact specifics :( it had 1 creature in it.. forgot what it was exactly lol ..

u had to run around in a specific sequence and light the symbols to unlock the chest and the door<

Part of the Gargoyle quest. Visit the notice board to get the quest. You may also want to check out some of the local vendors, to see if they have anything helpful for strange symbols.

i didnt need help took me 3 tries and i was done lol i just thought it was strange cause it wasnt a quest or anything..
