I've noticed the Mouse Sensitivity setting has no effect on the cursor in menus or inventory. Anyone know how to speed it up? It's so slow it's almost useless as it is right now for me.

Turn off v-sync.
Interesting idea, but unfortunately it didn't help.
Give this a try ... i read it on GameFaqs forum and it helped me some.

goto Documents/Witcher 2/Config/User.txt and add/change

MouseSmoothness=0
Smoothness=0

under MouseInput, it made a world of difference for me
I'm afraid that didn't help either.

Also, note to CD Projekt:: hiding game files in the labyrinths of drive C is NOT good software design even if Microsoft thinks so.
Shutting off smoothness in the User.ini file helped mine a bit, still slow but at least responsive. Far as I can tell there is currently no way to improve it, and the higher the resolution the worse it is. at 1600x1200 it's pretty damn annoying.
There needs to be an option to remove mouse accelleration

Shutting off mouse smoothing accomplishes this. With it off, my mouse movements are 1:1 to my in-game movements regardless of how fast I move the mouse. No mouse acceleration.

The problem is, there's no way to adjust what the ratio is from physical mouse movements to in-game UI movements and the default at higher resolutions is too low.
Sometimes when I shift tab in TW2, a + comes up that is 1:1 with my mouse, but the game pointer lags behind and is all over the place. I have to quit to the main menu and reload to fix it
