There have been quite a few complains regarding Shanni disappearance in WC2.

in dragon age , a dlc with extra companion cost around $15-20, I feel that a dlc with shanni would be quite probable and reasonable with that price range .

anybody agree?

What? Most expensive DLC that I'm aware of was around $7. I believe even the Sebastian DLC for DA2 was only $7.

The only exception I can think of is Stone Prisoner, which would have cost you $15 only if your game was second hand. New game buyers got it for free. Just sayin'

As for a Shanni DLC: I'm all for it as long as it's a good story involved with it. If it's just to add her as a potential love interest, I wouldn't be interested.
sounds ok, there were a lot of questions from w1 left unanswered or just ignored in w2
I'd love to see Shani again!

But not at that price. Besides, CDPR said all DLCs would be free.
a dlc regarding shanni presents a bit of challenge regarding Triss - where should she be ? if she is just totally ignored, that would hardly believable and quite a setback.

shanni could be out of the picture in the case when I romance Triss in the WC1 since she is very minor and insignificant in the game world. But Triss other hand is the king advisor...

Cannot even let Triss die as well since the book states clearly she lives until very old. So is Shanni.

I feel it is ok if a DLC brings back some genuine answers to this situation, it deserves a price. I remember Neverwinter night expansion pack costs around that price 10 years ago, Ididn't know much about PC games at that time - yet I think the game at that time is fairly small compared to modern game. Neverwinter Night, they call it a masterpiece, is only around 1.5GB on GOG.

I would like to see Shani back but I would want there to be a good story reason for her to be there. I wouldn't want it to be just an excuse to bring her back to romance her and have she and Triss be catty about each other etc.

What would be nice would be if they could address the fact that Shani is nowhere to be found even if you chose her in TW1. Maybe they could have her note that she broke the relationship off or that she had to go away on a mission or something like that.

Yes that is one of the things that annoyed me about w1 imports, in my game I chose shanni and triss all but refused to talk to me, start w2 with import and wtf first seen I wake up in bed with triss and its as if shanni disappeared into a puff of witcher smoke.

What... you've never woken up in bed with an old girlfriend? Not so unusual.

Nope. The unusual thing here is your ex-girlfriend all of sudden becomes your steady again and your steady is nowhere to be found. That's amnesia for you haha.

No. It's just the liquor.
Shani Shmani. Give me Toruviel.
If you're such a big fan of Shani, how come you keep spelling her name wrong?

Anyway, I think CDPR realized themselves what an unnecessary character Shani was, already in TW1, and decided to discontinue this utterly misplaced romance. She would work fine as a side character, but as a romantic interest, she just felt out of place, and that she was pretty much forced into the story for no other reason than to give the player a 'choice' between two different love interests. Her role in TW1 was poorly designed in general, and she ended up mostly getting on your nerves.

Now, my criticism of the character aside, having to pay for DLC that adds an non-player character into the game, would be one of the stingiest and most awful things a game company could ever do. The only reason EA and Bioware can charge money for extra characters, is because they are full-fledged party members, and not just an extra character on that side with whom you may converse or possibly gain a quest from. CDPR is not that kind of company, and I don't see any reason to bring back a character that was ultimately broken and awkward from the start.

I'd take Shani over Triss any day of the week. Triss was cringe worthy and failed to reflect the choices I made in the first game. I certainly won't care if Triss' role in future games diminishes and eventually vanishes.
Better off why not yennefer, francesca findabair n the other 2 sorceress?
