It was funny but I thought it got kinda predictable and the guy should've been placed somewhere in the town or inn instead of near the dangerous harpy nests. First time players might find it kinda weird too but ah well it's free.
Yeah, it was predictable, but I love the silly trophy he gives you :D

The location was OK, though, close enough for farming harpies.
It was brilliant. Totally worth the Harpy genocide required to obtain enough feathers.

On one hand it was predictable. On the other, it's really hard to believe that it's going to end the way you expect because the resolution you expect would be contrary to the prevailing mood up to that point. Once it actually unfolds that way, it's almost sweeter for it.
Kind of a waste of time farming for only a small laugh at the guy's fetish in the end, and the 'item' that's worse than the one I was carrying anyway.

edit: wow did this thread get derailed or what!

Witcher universe is weird and bizarre. That DLC is just amazing! Kind of simple though
Taking a break from killing harpies, collected 54 feathers so far but there's no harpies left. I wonder what are those stones that highlight when activating the medallion, something smells fishy in that valley... Maybe it's rotten harpy eggs ;)

Harpies should respawn after midnight.

Hell, I was, but I still don't get it. They are just simply showing the way to the harpycave?? It can't be. The route of the canyon is just doing great that job.

Do "Hunting Magic" or the Harpy Queen contract. Strange things you find during these quests will trigger the quest that the stones are involved in.
The best place for farming Harpies is on top of the wizard tower, where you find the first dream crystal. Just kill them all there, jump over the cliff, kill 2-3 Harpies on the other side, meditate, repeat. You'll have a sack full of fluff within ten minutes ;)

I knew it I have lost there somethin.:PI am always lousy and a rusher type:P
IMHO, it's the only FedEx-type quest in the game.

It'd prefer it it adds more depth and back story to either the original dweller of the hut, or to the "Lifting the Curse" quest, albeit perhaps still retaining the ridiculous revelation of the "Harpy Man".

Just a thought.
It's not really a waste of time for those who played Fable1 TLC... which is the only Fable I've played but that outfit.. LOL...

If the buildup contained as much depth as or somehow tied into the curse-lifting quest, the end of said quest would be seriously less entertaining because of how unexpected it is. In fact, the only thing in the entire game that really matches that level of weirdness is when you meditate with the Visionary's special potion on Roche's path. It never promises to turn into anything epic, so it differentiates itself from other quests so that you never have to worry about them having a similarly "fluff" ending.

It's light and entertaining and not really relevant to anything, so I found collecting a bunch of harpy feathers to be appropriate, personally. Besides, it was kind of amusing given that the only thing they said about the quest was that it rewarded those who demonstrate patience :)
