I did play him until winning the cloak. After that I noticed that there is a dice quest that starts at another location. This makes me wonder if the sword will actuall be in the inventory if following the proper quest track. I started rolling dice with him only because I had just beat him arm wrestling.

I can confirm this. When I played him just once, won, and said farewell I seemed to get nothing (not even a rusty sword). So I reloaded, I played him twice beating him both times. I ended with a Kaedweni Sword, a cloak, and Skalen not wanting to play anymore.

Geralt really should have had to put up some stakes! Poor Skalen.

Yet another game of dice were I don't recieve the winning prize. Come on one of these slipping through the net I can excuse but this is about the 4th one I have encountered in the game and I'm only at the start of chapter 2. No excuses.

Yep happened to me as well no sword on Xena for me either!

I never got the sword. I got the cloak after winnig the second match, but never got the sword.

When I didn't get it just assumed that the sword thing was mockery for "Xena: princess warrior" and there wasn't any item named Xantia's sword.

Check your inventory again. You will find a Rusty Sword. What, you thought that cheapskate was going to give you a legendary sword? Evidently it hasn't been well cared for since Xanthia lost it :)

I think you have to beat him twice after your first win, and the second time, you get both the crappy sword and the Dun Banner cloak.

I had the same problem - I beat him - he said i could have a sword - i didn't get it - i beat him again and he said i could have a cloak -- i got the cloak - i tried to play him again and he said he would not play with me... weird --

oh ps -- i didn't get any kind of sword from him - as i'd just sold all my stuff and had nothing in the weapons section after he said i won the sword... the cloak comes up as a quest item. I expected the sword might to - but no sword in the quest section either...

It's A joke that he gives you just a rusty sword, he is lying that he has famous sword when he doesn't just to get you interested and to play, I think they could add subtext under it "The sword of the warrior princess of Xantia"

Perhaps a mod could actually introduce such a weapon in this scene...

actually....I got the Actual Princess Xenthis's sword. It looks like a regular Temerian sword but the pommel is a gold crown and the hilt is gold too. Stats are 31-35 with poison 10% and bleeding 20%. It's a common class sword....big disappointment after all the mesage board hubbub. I think this last update fixed it or maybe im just lucky. But, the sword actually exists and its not some piece of crap rusty sword....I swear. How I won was I beat him with a full bet both times...back to back without leaving the conversation. first time I beat him with four 2 dice and the last time was with a pair of 4's and a pair of 3's...I think. Got the dun bannar cloak too. Sorry to everyone who isn't getting it...If anyone cares anymore for that fact.

Edit 1: And...btw, here's a link to the actual wiki on the sword http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/Princess_Xenthia_sword ....although...the one I have IS actually called the "Princess Xenthia's Sword" but it isn't a sabre design......so the sword in the picture isn't the one I have...Stats are all the same though.
