Hey, been reading a lot of post today about bugs with the kayran fight quick time event and haven't found anything that worked thus far.

Running low spec laptop but game runs smoothly, fight with kayran itself is easy imo just when i get to the quick time event with the tentacle -

On the 3rd I fill the bar *no space bar highlight as i have seen mentioned* thrown off just under the bridge but no health lost

I then proceed to hack the 4th one off, same sequence same result.

I can then just stand of to the left side, continually doing the sequence every time kaykay finishes having a hissy fit and swings at me - thrown off with the same result.

I fill the bar every time but the space bar highlight does not appear and it never kills me or dmgs.

Help. So very sick of doing this fight.



I have seen other gamers solve this issue by having someone else playing their save through the fight - i would much rather find a way to resolve this issue myself but if anyone would be wiling to do this for me I would greatly appreciate it.

Really love this game and don't want to give up on it but i really can't just keep doing this fight =P... over and over -_-

Any advice given would be greatly appreciated.


(ps- kerb the hardware debate, it seems this forum is a mess of no help but rather "get a better" computer - if that is your only advice why not offer to do the fight for me on your FAR SUPERIOR MACHINE!!11one kthxdie)

Setting everything to low settings and playing the game windowed at the lowest 16:9 resolution possible seems to be the best way to circumvent this problem. I've heard good things about 1280x720, though 1024x768 also seems to work for some people.

If that doesn't work, posting a save will have to do.

This is a link to the a quicksave (hard) taken just before the cliff that leads to cut scene and fight - pots taken and the trap is there to be used also.

Would really appreciate anyone who could take the time to download my save file, get past this damned quick time event and post me a save taken after the fight. Desperately please =/ want to see how this story turns out!

*noticed previous post but have tried all resolution and setting adjustments already - though I do believe it is a frame per second issue it is simply caused by a very stressed old sony vaio =(

There you go. You were carrying too much stuff, so I took the liberty to dump all the leather you had. Unfortunately it disappeared during the fight, but since leather is so abundant I don't think you're much worse off.

Yeah kinda have the weight mod on >.> forgot about that... got sick of the limit 10 minutes after the prologue xP Np about leathers just want to get past dat kayran!

I have the same problem. I´ve tried everything but my computer just cant get throught QTE... Is there a good and willing soul that would play that part for me?? :D if yes how can I send it here. Im new in this so I need a little help :)

Easiest way is to make a quicksave (since you can only have one at a time), find the quicksave in your save folder, then upload that file to a file hosting site. I recommend Depositfiles because it's easy and doesn't require making an account.
