Having the same issue - VISTA so the first thing I tryed was permissions, then I checked here. Turning off the fire wall and running as ADMIN did not fix the issue, still unable to CREATE TEMP FILE.

Any other know fixes?
Also you need to make sure you either allow Game Mode (as I have to with Bit Defender) or turn off the Anti virus will it updates, Was my issue. Found this out after I uninstalled and re-downloaded the game. GRRRR what a dunce I am......
Sometime Game Mode blocked and sandboxed certain processes automatically. I failed to launch the installer when my Comodo is et to Game Mode. I nearly blame GoG in this issue.

Could be the differences in the two programs. I hope he gets it fixed it would be a shame for him or anyone else to miss out on this game.
Hey all, Where did you actually get the GOG 1.1 patch? I don't seem to have it in my account library to download.

If you click on The Witcher 2 you don't see it in the list?
Ah, now I see it! Thank you MihaiHornet!

I hope they are not, we both have the same version (from gog.com) so it should be ok.

Also I know it might sound dumb but check that you are not running the game ( not even splash screen) while trying to install the patch, has been happening a lot around here. ;-)
This worked for me, i had the launcher running :)

Thanks!!
