Hi, thanks for putting two adverts in my mailbox about Witcher2, but they doesn't deal with system requirement. So, NO DEMO: NO BUY.
The game is six months away, the requirements are probably not finalized. Besides, hitting preorder on this site doesn't lock you in to purchase it, it just gives you a couple of downloadable goods. I'm sure system requirements will be released once the game is optimized, and who knows, maybe there will be a demo down the road as well.
There was huge demo for Witcher 2, so I bet CDP will release one for Witcher 2 as well.

Still, this is one of the very few games I would buy even without watching any videos, reading any review or playing any demo.
These are the requirements stated on Steam:

OS: Windows XP/Vista {<- (No Windows 7???)}
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz or similar AMD
Memory: 1 GB for Win XP / 2 GB for Win Vista
Graphics: Nvidia GF 8800 512 VR or similar ATI
DirectX®:
Hard Drive: 8GB for game and 8GB bonus content

Of course W1 demo was THE demo that make me bough collector edition for X'mas.

:) no demo, no buy.
Even with good rate, with rewards, etc... I don't care, I just ask to test it on my computer.

Ubivis: thanks, but frankly it doesn't meaning something for me. When Witcher 1 demo was released I was astonished how well the game play on my old computer comparing to another famous RPG that was made one year before.

the talented team of Cdprojekt know the word optmization,
I can live without all the graphic stuff turn ON, it doesn't matter, If I followed min requirement I will never played batman asylum on my good old PC (and even in low res, it still a very funny game)

Yah, I understand what you mean. I'd be surprised if there wasn't a demo closer to release. I wouldn't trust those steam reqs though, as we haven't had any official information from the devs yet.
