It's either a seriously successful troll, or a Bioware employee. I honestly think it's the former.

Anyway, I wanted to say that I was watching the metacritic page for critical reviews to hit the moment the game launched, so I know that his review was put up seconds after it was open. There's no way he could have finished installing the game, much less played it. But that proof's only necessary if his vague generalizations, ad hominems and general vitriol didn't give it away :).

Fun fact: His first score was 10, not 0. I thought it was a clever plot to keep it visible, but I now realize a zero is even more visible because they try to display reviews from all three spectra of opinion, and only trolls post zeros. It's a good idea in concept, but awful in execution

Why anyone would purchase a game based on a metacritic score is beyond me, as there is just too much scope for abuse of the system. As for the Witcher 2, I have until the end of the month to complete my pre-order so I'll wait on some reviews from people I trust on GOG.

Hahahhaha! There were some posts somewhere on other forums where someone DEMONSTRATED that one of the trolls on metacritic was a bioware employee. Google it!

I got to ask... why the hate?
I mean Witcher 1 used BioWare engine and right from the start outdid everything fantasy that BioWare had at the time.
Witcher 2 makes Dragon Age 1/2 look inferior, no doubt about it, but I would assume that grown up developers look at it objectively and recognize that so far CDPR is outdoing BioWare on fantasy RPG front.
Are you saying BioWare cannot take some healthy competition so they resort to this?

That troll was a very intelligent troll. He praised DA2 in a very fanboyish non-trollish way, and only got caught 'cause someone Googled him.

Oh, and when EA was asked to comment, they shrugged and said, "It's just business."

Don't worry, people are taking care of it :). TW2 has been given 50 user ratings, and 47 of those people have declared our resident troll's review pointless. One person disagrees. I wonder if he voted himself up or created another account just for this.
