I've played about 5-6 hours thus far and while I have been absolutely enthralled there have been a couple small bumps in the road which have left me a little disappointed.

1) No option for separate sound levels (as in voice, background sounds etc) leads to a few instances during the prologue where it can be rather difficult to hear voices.

2) Bombs created while meditating consume reagents but are not deposited into the inventory.

3) (Personal opinion) The difficulty swing between Easy and Normal feels a bit too wide. I feel that Easy is too easy and Normal is a bit too rough. This may lessen as I progress further.

Apart from these issues I am really enjoying the game, it just disappoints me a little that two possible problems that should've been found early on once starting a new game, weren't.

Its like Sugar and Spice or a better analogy would be Sweet & Sour.. Enthralled it finally arrived, Disappointed it wasn't what we envisioned..

I don't know how much was changed on the first release compared to the revamp of the Directors Cut mostly technical I think.

You can see that this is designed with XBOX in mind by the menu system and whatever. Its awkward now I think. Did they over think this??

How can that be when they haven't expressed the slightest intention to even port it to Xbox yet?
It's about as thoroughly PC-based as any game I've come across.

I can certainly understand the OP's gripes... I've noticed the issue with sound levels myself, and the combat is... uncompromising, at medium difficulty :-P

But I can't see what this has to do with consoles.
I am playing on normal and still feels easy to me :p

Try changing the keymappings on the PC "Input Controls".
Currently, it's very limited.

You cannot move keys over to NumPad on right of keyboard, cursor keys, and the Delete Key [above cursor keys].
its a console port for sure
its lacking alot of PC features
hopefully they fix it

You offer an opinion on what grounds for argument? It's a PC build 100%, try reading a little more and gain an insight to the development process that has been documented for the past 2 years.

your plain stupid, did you start gaming on the Xbox? can you honestly not tell this is a console game?
Right it's a console game. That's not available on any consoles. I'll leave it at that.
I'm really enjoying it

My main gripes so far are

1. The 5 screens at the start of the game
2. Some voices are different from the trailers (kingslayer, iorveth, some geralt)
3. Lack of config options
4. The troll trouble quest that tells you to go download it online (kinda ruins immersion)

I hope they fix things to make it less consoley..it's no surprise that there are a lot of console elements. It's a big market and game production costs money.

It will come to consoles, i mean they already have it designed to be able to be played with an xbox controller. Personally, I did expect a lot of the pc features like in TW1 to remain so I am disappointed some.

You didn't follow the development of this game certainly. And console port? Where is the console version? I want to try it, where to buy?

>not all PC games have to have in-game consoles. Traditionally FPS engines tend to, because iD introduced it.
>mouse options like? Sensitivity is about all I need
>uses a brand-new bespoke engine built from the ground up for the PC
>the developers optimised their own AA, so you only have the option to turn it on or off
>full mouse-driven menus/aim and WASD is consolized?
>again, how is the menu consolized?
>DirectX 9 did all they needed, DX11 was considered when it became available, but there was no benefit introducing it at that point in production.
>The depth of field blur is the best I've ever seen, and models photographic bokeh effects beautifully and believably. Better than I've seen on any console game.
>Bloom is perfectly valid when used well, and it's combined with HDR. How do you explain the brightness shifts when moving in and out of light/dark?
>seperated sound options are simply a minor oversight... nothing to do with console limitations

It's a built-from-scratch PC game running on a built-from-scratch PC engine.
Stop spouting crap.
