I bought the game a few days ago and just havn't been able to launch it all, its driving me mad. I install it fine, it downloads the patch and then the patcher loads - 'Installed Game Version is Invalid or Incomplete'. OK so lets try to launch the game without patching, no, I get a new error - 'Please Activate the Game Using Launcher'. Yes that really makes sense.

Only thing I can think of is to register the game. Oh whats that? Another error - 'Unable to Connect to Server'. This is ridiculous.

I have antivirus all disabled and have tried reinstalling the game, no joy.

They are working on the servers and they may be down and the reason you can't connect. They are transferring stuff form the old forums and still have to merge it with those new accounts that were opened by those previously signed up in the old forums. My guess is that the servers will intermitantly be up and down during this time. I am a Moderator on another forum and we have had to shut down when switching over to the new forum software.

GOG version or retail version?

This is the retail version. There is no official forum which I find pretty ridiculous, and this forum seemed the most active. And no, it's not pirated. UK version DVD.

Sorry, wasn't trying to imply it was pirated. Yeah, I really have to question the wisdom of them taking their forums off-line right at launch date, and it's pretty Mickey mouse to still not have them up. However, if you go to their almost-working website: Here, they've posted some things to try if you're having trouble getting the game started and they've also got an e-mail address link where you can e-mail support if you still have problems. Good luck.

Sorry I didn't want to sound blunt!

I've had a look through the list but nothing there seems to help. I really am out of ideas.

As a last resort, I'd try that e-mail. See if they get back to you with a working solution in a reasonable time period.
