Hi guys,

Since I have started playing the game I keep getting warnings from my ISP which says I used lots of my download limit. I think it is because of the downloadable content of The Witcher 2. I applied the solution but it didnt work. I am pretty sure I didnt download anything else and my connection is safe. It has downloaded more than 14GBs in 18 and 19 of April while there is no download yesterday as I didnt play the game!! I am about to exceed my limit and there is still 20 days to go till the roll over...It will cost me hundreds of dollars!!!

Try to go into your game folder and run patcher.exe this should reset the launcher downloads, if it doesn't work you can launch the game directly without going thru the launcher by using the witcher2.exe file in the /bin folder of the game, this should stop the downloads as well. You can make a shortcut of it and put it on the desktop.

Peak time limit :( It's Australia, Grapevine. That is very normal (!) lack of competition. and plus to be honest it is an old plan like 2 years. around $50 US dollars though :( every mb over limit is 10 cents..

Unplug the net?
Are they they the only provider? they sound like a bunch of bandits.
You don't have to play the game connected to the internet, that's only needed when you first install, to verify your copy and to download new content, even the steam version can be played in offline mode.
