Hello, how can I display the framerate in game to check if the settings I've chosen are OK? Or is there some benchmarking option which would e.g. show a fly-through and then tell me the minimum and average FPS during it, so that I can see "OK, this is fine"?

http://fraps.com Essential and the most commonly used option. You can display the framerate and/or run a benchmark which will give you the average FPS and so on after a certain period.

TW2 has no benchmark, unfortunately.
