InlineTwin: I can't see anything typed in the registration or activation boxes. Most of those textboxes shouldn't even be masked. How can you screw that up? And the cut scenes are choppy and the combat system is just as choppy. it really isn't a mistake to have the forum taken down days before release; got to be intentional. I played the original Witcher and find this one lacking in quality despite the revamped game engine; (which in reality is just average for current games) I like the old version better.

Kudos for them though, 100,000 users in the first week and they only had to pay for "I can't stop playing" written in every preview. (obviously false because the game forces you to stop by means of crashing or just plain stubbornness) This game is with bad drivers, difficult registration, and choppy game play a 6.0 out of 10 at best.

I really wanted it to be good, and I have suffered through games panned by "independent reviewers" with enjoyment, but there is something lacking and definitely some things wrong with this game. "sigh"

InlineTwin: Am I a troll if no one finds the same flaws or just of a different mind about the game than those who deign to post to my little thread?
The attitude of your Judgemental Topic indicates trollishism!! How about you reading a solution to any problems or doing a search!!

"How about HELP can't activate" as a topic item... The bridge awaits your return!!
Theres tons of forums that people are posting on for tw2 about complaints and most of them end up being:

1. Driver conflicts, old drivers, etc
2. old hardware trying to run on a higher setting
3. bad install

etc weird things.

Now if you're talking about the cutscenes being choppy, as in integration, that's not the word you use. You're making it sound laggy, not poorly implemented.

That being said, I never thought of the cutscenes like that. I rather liked them (in chapter 2 now)

Really? That is just childish. The post above is a better response. Please consider it improving your character and not so much my judgment of you.
played it a bit more in between this friendly banter and maybe I did use incorrect nomenclature of the problem. The play response is slow if I press E and nothing happens, well what is he waiting for? If I keep holding it then I get a response, but that is not how it should be. I have not seen a solution only a very long list of problems that others also would like fixed in addition.

I do stand by my initial premise that I don't see how it was released with such a long list of flaws and to get such poor feedback for a valid critisizm of what should have been a great game based on the previews I read.

Have you read the manual? Blocking/Parrying requires Vigor. No Vigor when you try to use it, you stand around doing nothing.

I contend that the bugs/flaws that have come to light are only affecting a small minority of players. Yes, there are issues, but what game is released these days 100% bug free, and the majority of the common bugs are only inconveniences. And, I don't think it is a 'long list of flaws', especially when compared to other modern releases. As for criticisms and feedback... they aren't the sort of things that hold up release. They are the sort of things that only come about after release, and are subjective. As I said earlier, looking at the volume of people complaining or claiming grievances, I think that number is very low, the vast majority are thoroughly enjoying the game, finding only very minor issues/faults, and aren't letting those problems get in the way of their enjoyment.

look at how many people have bought the game and how many people actually have problems with the game.

the ones with problems are a small minority and the problem is nearly always on the user side and not developer side

Thank you!! I do remember reading that but somehow forgot. I have been thinking there is a bug with the controller and it doesn't recognise I'm trying to block half the time. I guess they could implement some kind of feedback that there is no Vigor to block (or maybe there is and I've missed it), maybe some half hearted attempt at blocking animation or at least floating text. It does seem strange the Geralt would have enough energy to roll around but not block though.

The 'game won't start in full screen mode' or the 'controls can't be remapped in game' or the 'mouse can't be inverted' are all problems that should have been caught in QA...

Seriously, no one at CD Projekt has a monitor that runs 16:10 or an ati crossfire based graphics card to test on?? No one uses inverted mouse?

So back on the virtual shelf witcher 2 goes waiting on a patch, because at the moment, the game is completely unplayable (can't even launch) for me despite following all suggestions re: drivers, windowed mode etc...
