alot of games DO run so much better if you get the DRM-Less .exe Which I might add is NOT illegal to use if you own the legit game. Its only illegal to make DRM Less .exes and I know these things for a fact because I have the misfortune of knowing some lawyers who are gamers.

And we should point out though that the law varies from country to country, and may cover how one may obtain said .exe as well. But if GOG is okay with it, should be double rainbows all around!

Indeed. I think the bottom line is someone paid full fare and expected full game. Seems reasonable to me. I'm glad that GOG isn't making a big deal out of those who just want to play their legally purchased game. And country's laws will vary, but if one has paid, they expect full performance and access to all they've paid for. SecuROM...gotta hate it.

Remember this next time you see a game with SecuROM, and then run in the other direction. Message will be received. from the null registry keys (#$% to remove basically a rootkit), to destroyed optical drives, to reduced performance to corrupted Windows gaming machines, . SecuROM is poison. Witcher 1 Platinum DVD had much better disk only DRM. I was actually okay with that. (of course I now I purchsed the GOG witcher 1 edition, I shouldn't have to even worry about that now :D)
