I have been searching like crazy to find the Ysgith armor and Vran armor diagram.
I am on Iorveths path and am just about to go into the councils meeting with iorveth.
I tried the sewers like everybody mention, there are 2 chest's there one of which has the armor of Ys, while the other chest is locked.
Does this chest contains the diagram?how do i find the key to this chest?
The key to the chest is from an earlier chapter. If you didn't get it then you can't get the armor now.
Go back to a save.

I think I got the key on the Searching for Triss quest in Chapt 2. After killing the Nilfgaardians (when Roche saves you from being executed) loot the bodies and chests-look in the tents. Pretty sure the key was on the sorcerer's body though.
I thought the key was found when you found the second ship for the Mystic River quest, in chapter 2.

It is the ship quest for sure, and I believe you are right it is in Chapter 2. Accessible on both paths.
It is a multi-stage quest, beginning already in Chapter 1. There's a wrecked ship in the Kayran Lair, loot the chests there for a key and two letters from the captain. In Chapter 2, you can find a second shipwreck, which is almost immediately accessible if you went with Iorveth, and only accessible near the very end of the chapter if you went with Roche (as you're making your way to Vergen, after lifting the curse). Once again, loot the chest you find there for more letters (and a key?) and you should have what you need to open up the final chest, in Chapter 3 - the chest is in the sewers, and usually guarded by two Bullvores.

And yes, like others have already explained, if you miss a step of the quest, you will not have the proper key to open up said chest in the sewers, I'm afraid. The diagrams for both the Ysgith Armor and Vran's Armor exist in the game files, but are not sold anywhere, by default.
OK, the shipwreck it is then. I tend to grab every key, locket, ring, tool, book or whatever I think might be a quest item...and end up losing track of where I got them or what they're for or even if they're actually useful :P
Wait .. it's actually possible to get to the shipwreck on roche path?
I thought the whole area is blocked off.

SPOILER

On Roche's path you can find the wreck on the way to the siege of Vergen after you have broken the curse and lifted the fog.

Aye, you have no choice but to pass by the shipwreck during the main storyline, while it's actually quite possible to not go there at all if you're doing the Iorveth story.

Thanks for the info mate.Where is this ship wreck located?is this the one near the place where i rescue the she-troll, or somewhere near Henselts camp?
I guess i will have to make do with the Ys or Draug armour for now.

Yeah, if you pass the troll cave, and when the path splits and you have to take a left to continue on to find the she-troll and Adam Pangratt's men, instead go right and you'll find the shipwreck.
