Is it v1.2 that you D/L now? & will it be v1.3 when and if it ever arrives

I assume you're talking about the next patch for TW2 ?
Actually we are in v1.2, and waiting for a big 1.3 patch.

There already are topics about that, you might be better inspired to read them before posting a new one...

I think it's still the vanilla version. I don't believe (from some of the posts by the GOG team on the boards here) that they plan to update it until the patch cycle for the game is mostly done with.

Yep. that would be a lot of superfluous work and not concurrent with GoG's usual MO (of course the good OLD games are already done with the patching once they come here).

So you get the vanilla version and the day one activation patch is included in that.
The first patch 1.1 you'll get as separate download file in your account (the game shelf) and the patch 1.2 is here.

As of now it is neccessary to install the patches in order (accumulative), so even when you donlad now, you need to get both patches. Probably this will also be true for the 1.3 patch, but we can't know that for sure now.
Yeah... I went through the entire game my first run with no patching at all thinking the game would download fully patched. I was then further mislead by the game patcher itself which when ran stated "game is fully up to date" lol.

I thing the first patch (1.1) was split into many versions depending on where you got your game and what your location was. After that it seems they just made it one update file you get from the witcher website which I am guessing is what AudreyWinter linked to.
