Now that I know that my personal waiting for the game has prolonged 7 additional hours (look here if you don't know what I'm talking about http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/what_time_will_the_remaning_files_download) I'm searching for ways to getting in the mood for TW2. Besides the obvious options (replay TW1 and read the books) I would like to ask the community for any suggestions you got.

I will begin with a unexpected little gem i have watched this night. It is the movie "Black Death", a production from UK set in the medieval times. I will not spoil you any details, but it is surprisingly near of the spirit of TW1: obviously there are no witchers, but complex moral decissions, a real treatment of the age and society (this is not LOTR), religion issues (u remind the Flaming Rose Order?), tridimensional characters, and absolutely no good vs evil scheme.

Other ideas?
If you haven't already, play the modules for The WItcher 1. I just remembered I had them today, played through the Price of Neutrality; was quite fun.
For the love of GoG don't watch the Witcher movie. I know most of you will rush now to imdb to check it out, but really... Threse's a REASON you haven't heard of it, and the reason is that it's quite frankly an awful movie. Aside from a few scenes it's been badly written, cast, directed, and while it features many great Polish actors, they didn't stand a chance.

I just re-watched 'The Beastmaster' for the first time since I was little. It has aged remarkably well considering.

That'll fill two hours.

Man I have Witcher coming out of my ears for the last few days :)
I'm on my 3rd play through of the Witcher EE,
Reading Blood of Elves,
and watching the Polish TV Series with English Subs,
and what is extra cool about that is that my Polish neighbour Mike is a massive fan and has
started to teach me the Language so thats helping to pass the time,
and I'm also updating Mike's Pc for him with my old Geforce GTX 260 and memory so he can play TW2 at full blast,so thats passing more time in a constructive fashion...but the in between times are still passing so s-l-o-w-l-y...
plus my local Game lost my CE Edition Pre-order so I won't know til Monday what version I'm getting,I like to have the physical medium in a lot of cases, but GoG is really the next best thing,so yeah, all in all have'nt anticipated a games arrival this keenly in years.
back to the TV series!.

Sweet Melitele, I don't know what's worse: watching that series, or learning our dreadful language! :D
I had a huge backlog of games so I didn't get to another playthrough of The Witcher like I'd planned. I just played Batman AA for the first time if that tells you anything and Metro 2033 right before that. But everything goes to the backburner when this baby unlocks.
So I guess I will read everything I can find here and elsewhere and post in the forum for the next day and a half.

Lol Voodoo :) the series isn't as bad as I thought it would be from other people talking about it(mind you,I'm an actor and have been in some pretty terrible TV and movies myself so I find myself being a little more forgiving in SOME cases-ie if its something I'm very interested in...like the Witcher.
As for learning Polski its not so bad,I'm Irish myself and speak a few other languages so I'm not too phased by the tongue twistiness of some Polish phrases,I'm definitely better at speaking than writing though!
In fact the worst mistake I made so far was saying that Polish reminded me of Russian in front of Mike's girlfriend...oops! I have some Irish friends who react the same way when people think they are from the UK,but it never bothers me so I was a little surprised...I wish I knew what half the things she called me in Polish meant! :)

Yeah, my mother got that from an Egyptian. She replied "Well, you sound Jewish to me"... Imagine the face on that lad!

The acting is actually quite good, since many good actors were hired... the dialogues and directing are painful though.

I'm going to finish reading Blood of Elves for sure. Maybe play through that bonus content in Witcher EE.

Other than that I've definitely got a few games to play through, like all the LoZ games I just borrowed from my friend. I've still got 3-5 days for the money to get to my paypal account to get some new hardware (my computer is nowhere near W2 ready :B), so I'll be a little late to the party.
Guys, I have the perfect solace for all of you, waiting impatiently for Tuesday; well, I do too, in theory. But... just rejoyce in the pleasant anticipation, that you actually get to play on Tuesday. Me, I have such brilliant timing, which is quite typical for me, I have gotten myself a stiff neck, which is really a stiff 3/4 part of my body, I doubt that I will be able to use a mouse or a controller this week. Can't even sleep, just got up again after a couple hours trying, meds don't do a thing. Guess, a dose of fisstech would be good right about now.

What the heck, I've only waited for this game for two years or so, right?
And at least I've killed another half an hour, writing this posting.
And I remember I haven't seen all episodes of the witcher series, yet. Would it be considered to be very masochistic of me, if I would spend the rest of the night doing that? ;)
I've also about a third of Blood of Elves left to read, but I think I'm not up for reading now.

Corylea's mod 'Medical Problems' is quite good. The only fan made adventure I was able to get into actually. She said MP2 would be released around now as well. I'll be playing that alongside TW2 myself.

Oh man thats funny! I'd say that was an unhappy Egyptian face!
I do the same to my Thai friends(and GF) if they're pissing me off I'll mix them up with Burma :) its hilarious but occasionally dangerous!.
I agree about the Series, the dialogue is a bit stilted in places, and the talent seems to outshine the direction... problems i have with it are more to do with the huge changes to the source material than naything else, but its still interesting to see Geralt in the flesh as it were,
I had to laugh at the idea of Witchers supposedly being Asexual though when Geralt is plainly a giant horndog who can't keep his pants on for one episode! :)
Reminds me of the old historical fact of many supposed Eunuchs having "full tackle" as it were and spending many pleasant hours "taking care" of the Harems!.
