Summary: Richly textured and stuffed with memorable moments, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is a marvel among role-playing games.

The Good: Morally ambiguous choices lead to game-changing consequences. A number of exciting and memorable moments. Phenomenal visuals with a grim tone Involving tale of lost memories and political allegiances. Fun, challenging combat with a satisfying sense of impact.

The Bad: A variety of bugs Combat sometimes ventures into cheap territory. Unsatisfying conclusion.

Well I have to say I more or less agree with that review, it's a 9.5 in my opinion though ;) Here is the review for those who want to check it out!

It's a good and honest review. Nice to see that.
I've been waiting for this review actually because I think Gamespot is a reputable games review website.

I don't particularly trust or like Gamespot but it's an excellent review.

Aye I've been waiting for this one too and it's a good score.
That score took me by suprise, i wasnt expecting that from Gamespot tbh. And he didnt rant on the combat either, fantastic.

Im happy for the guys at CDP RED!. Well done. =)

Oh just saw GameTrailers have a review aswell. 9.4. Fantastic!.

Gamespot is relatively hard to get a 9+ from, so this is cool to see. Personally I think there are some issues he did not mention like the poor tutorial, but overall I agree with the review.
Doesn't exactly surprises me. They gave 8.5 to the first one and even called it a flawed masterpiece (if I remember right). They usually get most of their review right.

I liked the review. Just thought weird he mentioned combat in pros and cons! heh

I like the combat very much but indeed, sometimes I keep pressing the button to cast a sign, vigor bar filled, and nothing happens. I have to do something else, like roll, then it works... crazy...
Is a pretty accurate review. 9.0 is a great score, DA 2 got an 8.0 from them so that earns them a bit of my respect.
Im surprised Gamespot rated it so highly, they seemed to be Mainstream fanboys in love with anything from EA or Activision, Maybe they are turning around? Still the real test is seeing their Skyrim review.

They did like Witcher 1. Calling it a flawed masterpiece. Which it still is flawed tech wise.

What do you expect of their Skyrim review? If they praise the game, they'll be proven mainstream fanboys even if the game is genuinely good?
I am not an avid RPG player. My resume includes just ME and Witcher series.
Skyrim does not interest me a bit
