I downloaded the files in my browser. The game installed without any problems.

The launcher opens but when I click on "Launch game" it instantly crashes and several error messages flash up one after the other:

Unable to load cooked 'globals\controls.csv'. Make sure resource was gathered and check log for details.
Unable to load cooked 'globals\game_inputs_order.csv'. Make sure resource was gathered and check log for details.
Unable to load cooked 'globals\attribute_types.csv'. Make sure resource was gathered and check log for details.
Unable to load cooked 'globals\sound_materials.csv'. Make sure resource was gathered and check log for details.
Unable to load cooked 'globals\music.csv'. Make sure resource was gathered and check log for details.
Unable to load cooked 'globals\gui\fonts\fonts.csv'. Make sure resource was gathered and check log for details.

Those files do not exist. I checked if they existed on my brother's version of Witcher 2 (Steam) on a different computer but the files didn't exist there either.

Each error also includes this call-stack:

I have dual-monitors, both 2,048 x 1,152.

Anyone else have this problem?

I have the same problem. The Game installs and is runing correctly until I restart Windows. After that this errors occure again. Several times dowloaded and reinstalled the game, nothing changed. I don't want to download over 10Gb every time I want to play ((

Uninstall the game, and reinstall it but make sure you run the installer as admin.

You can also try running the witcher2.exe as admin.
