The game crashed to Desktop several times so far, as I retried it was stable. Now though At the beginning of Act 1 where I meet the elves, the game freezes every time I load it, can't play on.

Anyone else has crashes during the game?

I've been having the same issues. I'll talk to Iorwerth, go through the "gauntlet" of elves, while Roche carries Triss, and then right as I'm about to get to Flotsam the screen goes black to load the following cutscene and then the game crashes to desktop.

I've checked anti-virus, drivers, blah blah blah, etc.

I'd suggest posting some system specs. Also, go ahead and submit a support ticket, though I think I'm the only guy who's awake at GOG.com right now. :D
