i guess i should be thankful that my only issue with the game is not being able to invert both X and Y axis with mouse. and yes, i'm aware i'm apart of an even smaller minority that wants to invert X axis lol

you should see how i play Dragon Age 2... i have the mouse buttons flipped too :p

Matisto25: yeah i agree with you leondres i was hoping for more direct contact from cdprojekt side to the community for when we can see a new patch because now it's just a guessing game. It's one of the best games to date no question about that but it's just a bit sad that the russian version already has some patches but the english version isn't . I also don't get why it need this more time to get the patch out then for the russian one
Not sure, maybe some translation issues, though I would think that wouldn't be an issue based on how they made the games focus be on English this time.

I'm sure its coming, right now, just getting their forums back up I think would help alot.

Nothing wrong with being in the minority, I'm sure they will address this as well.

The axes are easy to flip with a little modding.

-Open Documents\Witcher 2\Config\User.ini with an editor like notepad
-Find the MouseInput section
-Add two lines of the MouseSensitivity type, adding a minus sign "-" before both values

EXAMPLE:
MouseSensitivityX=-0.5
MouseSensitivityY=-0.5
SensitivityX=0.5
SensitivityY=0.5
Smoothness=1

-Save file and game on!

Cymbeline: I'm hoping for a patch too. I can't even start the game. I have read the fixes, but it will take me hours to figure things out when a patch would solve the issue (hopefully) right away. I am not very technically proficient, so most of the fixes sound like gobbledy gook. I hit the Launcher and the game tells me to start the game through the Launcher. Rinse, repeat. So sad. It appears to be a big issue so I am sure it will be patched.

Pleeeeeeeese be patched. Soon!
Please do note that depending on your system you might have to do some tinkering anyways to get the game running well, like updating the hardware drivers. Might as well do it now.

I know I did.

sweenish: what i want worked on is combat movement.

if i throw a sign and immediately hold a direction key, geralt does not move. i have lost way too many times because you have to stand still for a half second before you can parry, or move after a sign (or item).

i think i'm alright at action type games, but i'm dying way too much for it to entirely be my own fault.
I wouldn't know. See I started the game and I noticed the letterbox on my monitor and though oh its for cut-scene effect. Then I realized after they were done it wasn't. I honestly stopped playing right there.

If i remember right with playing the first game, you had to be standing in the direction u wanted to cast a sign and cast. Casting and then trying to turn didn't work.

Nice, quite useful.

I will try that tonight. Always go for the simple solution...because a complex solution is beyond me. Thanks for the advice!

Edit: Did the update, but still no joy for me.

i'm able to throw the sign right where i want it. the problem is i typically need geralt to immediately move when he's done, whether it's dodging the other two guys coming at me, or to attack the one i just hit. but he doesn't. he just stands there like a chump.

if i swing my sword and want to immediately take a defensive posture, i can't swing and then hold E. i have to let him finish swinging, then give it a split second, then hit E.

i've also checked to make sure it isn't a vigor issue. he just won't go do anything immediately after throwing a sign.

that's basically forced me to fight like a sissy, taking one or two swings, then roll ten feet away so i can take up a defensive posture or throw one sign and repeat the whole thing.

if the combat is going to be more action oriented, it needs to flow better. action queuing is basically what i'm asking for. if i throw a sign and start holding E while the sign is being thrown, i expect geralt to take a defensive posture once the sign throw animation is done.

I'm pretty sure pausing on casting a sign is on purpose so that there's an actual downside to sign usage. *shrug*

I get your points, I haven't tried it yet myself as I'm still waiting for any info on a patch for the 16x10 resolution.
