I created a new account to register The Witcher 2, cut and pasted my registration code from my gog.com order email, and when I press send it just says Connection Error. Try Again Later.

Is this happening to a lot of people? Is it just an overcrowded registration server maybe?
Sounds like, yeah. The US is waking up on the East Coast, so they're very likely starting to flood the servers.
Thanks for the quick response! I'll just patiently press send until it registers :)

Could also try temporarily lowering the internet security settings in IE, it worked for me but that may have been random luck rather than anything I did.

Can I suggest that we collectively postpone activation, instead of sending more and more requests, resulting in the problem persisting? Let's just try tonight or tomorrow morning, if we all (im-)patiently keep pressing the Submit-button, I don't think it will work sooner.

Persistance?
How long do you think it'll take? I've been pushing it for awhile now.

I don't understand since pirates have been able to play the game for a couple of days now and I can't seem to register my own game

Dunno, I wonder if GOG can activate from thier end....

Hint Hint...
This is a bit frustrating. I guess CD Red was not prepared for the East Cost to wake uo. Been trying to activate for 25 minutes.........

I agree, first it was difficult to get it to install and now having to push a button over and over hoping it to actually activate is disheartening.
I just want CD Red to get all the positive press/feedback they deserve. I don't wanna appear all butt hurt, however, been waiting weeks to play only to have to spend my time trying to activate instead of play. I know I could just launch TW@ and play but, I want all the DLC and stuff from the beginning....

Exactly, I want to have it patched up and ready for the first time into the game.

If you check an earlier thread (http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/registration_servers_www_thewitcher_com_down) we'd had this problem before the East Coast woke up.

TheEnigmaticT: snip
Could you do me a favour, nip next door into CDPRed's server room and give the sleeping Polar bear a prod...

Or a tazer to the balls...
