Sound still works but any command to exit the inventory doesn't dispel the blank screen.
I've disabled all mods, not really sure what the problem is.

Anyone have any ideas?

I had this with the 301.24 Beta drivers from Nvidia. Went back to 296.10 and problem solved. Relevant?

I'm on ATI, so unfortunately no. But it may very well prove useful to others.

EDIT: I have found the solution, I had a few extra unlisted mods that were just direct additions/texture replacements (Hood removal and tool-tip tweaks) that didn't show up in the launcher DLC/Mod list.

Got rid of them in the CookedPC folder and everything is working fine.

Others have been having this issue with out any extra mods installed. I have the Witcher Vanilla EE installed and have had this problem a few times. I also have had a wierd glitch were I'm unable to get out of the meditation screen and I have to CTRL ALtT DEL to windows to get out of the witcher.

There seems to be more texture pop in with the EE then the previous version also.

Overall though, things are pretty good. I hope they still keep polishing the game (strictly bug or graphical bug fixes.

I have this problem as well. Unfortunately, I can't remember which files are mods and which aren't. Can someone post a picture of the Vanilla CookedPC folder, please?

Inventory turns black when you turn off HUD I think

After all these years this issue is back again and worse than ever. Now turning on/off the Hud doesn't do anything anymore. Whenever I ry to access the character or the inventory screen the game turns to a black screen with only the cursor being left. Only way to shut it off is force canceling it using alt+ctrl+del. This makes the game literally unplayable.

Have already tried everything from playing under another operation system, with mods, without mods, turning on/off all graphic settings, starting in compability modes, switching graphic cards and drivers, re-installing the game as well as .NET Framework but nothing works.

Please help :(
