I heard people keep saying ZERRIKANTERMENT, ADDAN DEITH or even Blood sword
are strongest silver sword
I wonder why.

Since silver sword mostly kill monster, dont you think DEITHWEN should be the best instead?
It +25% VS large monster which what we call elite enemies or bosses, gargolyes the f**king walking bomb. And its' dmg are nothing to sneeze at also, comparing to other swords (mine was 43-48)

Furthermore, i think ZERRIKANTERMENT is actually useless at least on witcher 2, Though it mighht have import value to witcher 2 but that's a faraway topic. By the time you can cracft it, most of the enemies mentioned in its 4%+ list is already dead. Instant kill 1% is also nothing when what's left mostly are boss and humans (anti-silver!!!) Bonus dmg sign? Whoever dmg by signs that much ?
Yeah I guess Deithwen is a pretty good sword to have, but I prefer Addan Deith due to its relation to the Hunt.

I can kill Phillipa's Elemental in 3 hits anyway, so it's more of a matter of choice, really.

i agree with you . i've always used Deithwen in all my playthroughs. Others might be better in their specs taken independently but in TW2 , they're not as useful.
I still kept Addan Deith in my inventory though for importing it to future releases.

Hmm might be fun to slice real king of the hunt by the sword i guess
Aye, from what i gather, the sword belonged to one of the elves from the Hunt's sphere (i.e. world), who betrayed the Hunt instead and was pursued by his wraiths.

I guess there would be some poetic justice in killing the Hunt's wraiths with one of their riders' swords.
Addan Deith. Highest dmg, 3 sockets, tons of bonuses. Nuff said.

The +25% damage against large creatures and gargoyles is certainly nothing to scoff at. It makes a valid alternative. 3 sockets as well.

Robust Blue Meteorite Sword

Why?

Because -
1. It looks cool (most important thing)
2. You can craft it at the very beginning of chapter 2(the longest chapter) and it will pretty much last you until the end of it.
3. +Sign damage is > the other meteorite sword bonuses

Sure, but there are not so many large creatures in the game and those you meet... meh... pretty weak. Long term slashing and smashing hordes of drowners and stuff in 2 hits > killing 5-6 gargs and couple of golems through the whole game. All in all it doesn't even make any difference tbh... The game is pretty easy, on hard it was no challenge at all, enemies die way too fast. You should even try going with a weaker weapon actually to be able to "feel" the game and apply any form of tactics. I didn't use a single potion (except for the dead guy quest i think) through my whole first playthrough. But yea... quen sign... pretty OP, nrf that. To get on topic - tbh doesn't matter which one of these swords you'll take, it'll roflstomp till the end of the game. I prefer Addan Deith because i like to have the best passive stats, highest dmg and basically bully and tank my way around and... hey... the sword "talks"... Frostmourne nostalgia. :)

The sword doesn't talk. The elf's memories are stored in the sword and flow through Geralt. Or didn't you see his lips flap? :P

DEITHWEN gives bonus in fighting bosses including dragon you know
Unless dragon is not counted as large monster

Remember tha addan Deith is limited to only killing mosnter and monster in chap 3 is very limited -mostly large monsters and gargolyies +rotfiend and harpy but they are a joke now

OOOH, CMOOON! I know it "doesn't talk"!!! :) It doesn't hurt to use your imagination when it suits you. ;)

But the scene was so good, it almost seemed like the sword actually "talks about it's own memories"... Cool stuff. :)
Dragon counts as a large monster, check the journal.

The swords aren't that far apart, damage-wise. I don't see what problem some people have with Deithwenn.

Meh... no one said there will be problems with any of the swords.
