Autosave after the fight. Don't forget to loot the Kayran.
Thanks, now I can stop feeling like some old fogey who can't use a mouse properly.
help me sir pls... im using a weightless mod

Here you go: Link

It's a quicksave because I don't use a weightless mod and finding the dropped items can be a bit tricky. Everything is picked up, though, and the save is just a few steps to the side of where the autosave after the fight would be.

thank you so much sir :)
I am like some who have met the kayran bug, Spoilers follow:

Mine appears like this: 3-4 tentacles chopped? Check. Ride the big tentacle? Check. Fill the QTE bar all the way? Check. Then no spacebar prompt appears. Ever. Tried all the suggested fixes I have seen on all the forums I have lurked through. Lower res, lowest difficulty. Difficult QTEs negated. Tried playing on a faster computer. Tried a new download of the game from Gamestop. Get the QTE bar filled all the time. As soon as possible, I start spamming the spacebar without waiting for the prompt. Tried hitting spacebar with only a few LMBs. Lots of different combinations of spacebar and LMB. All the same. Geralt always gets thrown off at the end of the Tentacle QTE, No extra bridge parts fall to create the ramp. There are bridge parts, but they are unclimbable.

So, I have decided I have some sort of irreconcilable bug and must request an ignominious resolution. As much as it pains me to admit defeat, I request some kind soul to try finishing the big sucker for me.on their computer. My best wishes and a hearty thank you.

This issue comes about from computers not being able to keep up with the clicks, so spamming the spacebar might actually be doing you more harm than good by giving it more work. Besides, on the lowest difficulty (and with difficult QTEs off on higher difficulties, as memory serves) there isn't a spacebar prompt at all, so you getting thrown off would definitely be an issue of clicks not being registered. Even if the bar technically fills up, the clicks aren't always "counted" when the computer can't keep up. I'd recommend trying to click as little as possible, timing the clicks as evenly as you can to fill up the bar. Here's the autosave after the fight if that doesn't work:

Thanks, Penguin Overlord. I have gone by the assumption my underpowered machine is operating as you say. A combination of slow LMBs and one or two Spacebars has been one of my many combinations. But, even trying on a much faster machine I get the same results using all the various combos folks have recommended. I acknowledge it might truly be possible to get past this scene on my own, but after numerous multi-hour sessions, I would rather depend on the kindness of strangers than just abandon an otherwise pretty good game. In my gaming experience, I have never come upon a task that requires so precise a method for success and allows no other path (or never noticed a scene so rigidly designed). Having read that I am not alone in my frustration tells me game designers just might want to consider alternatives. For example, in this scene success comes from a grenade tossed into the critter's mouth. But you can't throw a grenade that has ANY effect unless you get to the top of the fallen bridge. I see this as a logic problem for the game design.

My mini rant notwithstanding, many thanks again to Penguin Overlord.
Please, please, please, save me from this misery :( I have the same problem like OhB1. Is there anyone alive willing to help me?
Here is my save game just before the battle

Holly crap ... it worked ... thanks !! :D
Hello everyone !

I can't kill the Kayran thanks to te QTE and my wooden computer :(

Even with the lowest resolution available, windowed mode, difficult QTE off and easy mode, Geralt is always thrown up at the end of his little riding. After days of LMBs and fails, i'm desesperate.

If someone could be kind and kill that Kayran for me, i would be really happy.
