TParis:
Nice, thanks.

Have you been playing the game?
Is this a patch that will be out on day 1, or things YOU want patched?

This is the release patch changelog.

The feeling I got is that patching will be handled within the game launcher.
This info popped up at several German sites, sorry for not providing the source(s):
http://www.4players.de/4players.php/spielinfonews/PC-CDROM/19173/2060297/The_Witcher_2_Assassin_of_Kings|Erster_Patch_behebt_schwere_Fehler.html
http://www.gamestar.de/news/pc/rollenspiel/2322929/the_witcher_2_assassins_of_kings.html

It's a day 1 patch and no, I also bought the GOG version, not the retail version.

diamount: GOG will have their own version of patches.. so probably immediately avaliable after it's released.
Some official reply on here would be good,i dont want to start playing then have to possibly start over.

There are two options for the GOG version. You can register your copy using your serial number and this allows for downloads of the patches and DLC. The patches and DLC aren't coming from GOG directly this way, I think. (CDPR's servers?)

The second option is to wait for GOG to update its installation files and re-download the game. GOG might give more options (ie. smaller downloads in the interim), but this is the plan for now.

You just need to register the game, and you will get access to patches; this is from the confirmation e-mail when I bought the game;

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings CD-Key

Using the CD-Key is not required to play, but we recommend you register your copy of The Witcher 2 with it as it grants you access to direct updates, additional language packs, future free DLC and more.

Make sure to keep this email so if you ever need your CD Key again, you'll know where to find it!

If people can't handle this, humanity is doomed.
