I've been busy the last two days and worked on several game and dialogue fixes that are still present in the 1.5 version of The Witcher.

The complete changelog is in zip file, but here is the short version:
+Removes intro movies
+Can gain Warewolf fur even if you choose the peaceful path
+Can gain the striga potion even if you choose the peaceful path
+Fixes dialogues which should add bestiary entries (A LOT OF FIXES)
+Fixed TYPO in two dialogues

Anyone who wishes to try the patch download it here.

Take note this is the first version, so report any things that are still not fixed but should be.

Cheers, and Happy Witching!
Awesome. Note skip intros is already an option in Flash mod...there's something in there about werewolf fur quest as well..any conflicts you're aware of?

Don't know how the Flash mod implements the Warewolf fur, but if Carmen gives it to you there's probably a conflict. The best way to try is to copy all the files to your Witcher folder and just skip those that it want's to overwrite.

There's a full changelog with the list of all the modified files in the .zip, if you run into a problem just tell me and I'll see what I can do.

Also note that this is just a patch with no skill or combat rebalance, as my aim was to fix the game up and provide a mod that is good for any player.

Hi SkyHiRider,

Thank you very much for this patch...I've read through the changelog and you're up to some great stuff Brother!!

I'm very appreciative of you taking the time to do this, just let me know if you need any help from me...although I don't have much knowledge in modding and editing...but anything you think I can take care of I'll do for you to keep this work continuing.
Sug: don't remove the intro movie... Remove the other video clips though. :)

Reverse Credits change back to the old way. :p

Yeah, the Credit thing bugs me too:) Wanted to rename the menu entry from Credits to Intro, but haven't found a way to do that yet.

Thanks, really appreciate you appreciating, heh. If you want to help, you can always make a list of bugs, glitches or odd stuff in the game (thou I can't guarantee I can fix everything, as this patch was mostly just me modifying several .dlg files).
This sounds pretty cool!

Just throwing it out there: I think "____ Mod" would be a better name than "unofficial patch." I personally liked the fact that I couldn't get the werewolf fur or the striga potion, because it was consistent with the games "lesser of two evils" decision-making dynamic. New players might mistakenly assume these are all fixes to bugs, when in fact they are reversals of deliberate decisions by the game's designers.

Yeah, I agree with this, though you can't edit a thread's title so not sure what you can do with it.

SkyHiRider, your mod is an excellent edition to the game.

Yeah, sorry for that. It first started as a fix pack that aimed to fix the dialog bestiary entries that were not awarded but when I got into it, I found other things I could "fix".

For those that don't want the Warewolf fur or Striga potion, just don't copy those files and you won't get them :) Theres a list of every file in the zip, so you know what to copy and what not to.
