Hey all,
So I've been having a few issues installing The Witcher 3. Both errors occur on Game Disc One.

First error seems to hit when installing a texture file, and it says:

"Installation failed with code: -10:File reading error
Please make sure you have enough disk space for the installation and close any programs that could be accessing the files on disk, like antivirus software.

If problem persists, please contact Support"

I have tried on my 3 drives (1 SSD with 120GB space, 1 HDD with 2.35TB space and another with 404GB space).

I have tried restarting my computer, turning off antivirus, running as Admin and defragging my primary game drive (404GB space).
Nothing so far has worked, other discs (CD and DVD)

After doing the defrag, I get a new error which activates immediately when installer opens and it says:

"Installation failed with code: -7: Error opening the archive
Please restart the installer and try again
If the problem persists, please contact Support"

I'm not sure what to do now, so I'm hoping someone here may have a solution or have had the issue and fixed it.

Thanks in advance!

Contact support.

P.S. If you have fast internet, then I'd get the GOG copy (you should have had a GOG code) and try to get it to work while you wait for Support's response.

I am having exaclty the same problem. Installation stops with mentioned error on second disk with some movie files.

I seem to have fixed it. I turned off PC and let it sit for 10 or so minutes and also removed and reconnected my disc drive.
Turned on PC again, and this time it worked perfectly.

This seems to be a very good way of solving the problem. Personally I ran all the software repair things a sane person could think of. Repair drive blablabla. Then I opened up my pc (that hadn't been opened for 5 years) and now everything seems to be running smoothly installing the first disk as of now.
I have turned my compute off for 10 minutes and removed the DVD drive. It still gives the error message when installing a movie
