I'm only halfway through the game - which is excellent, by the way - so I haven't experienced this, but I thought I'd post about it here just in case someone runs into this issue.

Apparently, there is a bug that makes it possible to skip a a portion of the game, creating narrative confusion, but still allowing you to finish. At least one reviewer on the store page seems to have experienced this.

The developer posted this message on their blog (http://faravidinteractive.wordpress.com/):

"There’s a certain bug in the game that allows the player to circumvent some events and still trigger the ending scene. I’m working to fix this. In the mean time, please make sure to follow up the murder case before reading the third chapter of the book.

Sorry for the inconvenience!"
Yep, this is true. We have an update almost ready that will fix this problem, and all new copies from early next week will include this fix. Sorry about that!

Awesome, that's good to hear :-). Thanks for the reply!

By the way... any updates on R. Michalski's next game ;-)?
You can now update your DRM-free copy to version 1.1 with this:
http://www.samaritanparadox.co.uk/updates/TheSamaritanParadox_UpdateTo1.1.exe
(1.9mb EXE updater)

If updating from v1.0 - you may need to play from the start for this fix to take effect.

Let me know if you run into any issues.

regards!
Will version 1.1 eventually be available directly from GOG? I had no problem updating the game, but I did almost miss that an update was available.
Sorry. Posted here by mistake. New topic on main forum.
