GOG promised a patch last week that would fix the 4 core only and black screen (after quitting) problem. What happened? I didn't refund because there was a promise of patch, and I can't run the game, because I have 6 cores and don't want to go to BIOS every time to limit cores when I want to only play this game.

That is a bit unfortunate. I recently had the BIOS updated so I reset all settings, and was hoping a fix would be available so I could continue playing the game without interfering with the number of cores from BIOS.

It's not too much of a hassle, and fortunately it's not some obscure option and I am quite comfortable playing around the BIOS settings. It's that I'd rather I didn't have to do that (and I'm a little concerned that I might forget I set it after I'll have finished my playthrough).
I am waiting as well, i already own this game on Origin i only bought it on GOG because of the promised fix.
Me too - I really want to play it again, and effectively can't because I've got 6 cores...
My Origin version works fine, but the GOG game does not start.
Still no news regarding the patch?
this is holding me from purchasing this game.
If it means anything by now, I fully support a fix to this. I would buy The Saboteur in a second if it wasn't for this core nonsense.
