You're nothing more than some shill anti gog spammer, no reason for your account to exist.
If you had an actual argument, you'd collect your thoughts like an adult.

+1 rep brother. I'm tired of these windows 7 users throwing tantrums. Let's hope this thread gets deleted or locked.

This game is so good it should convince any sane person to come to this century. And bring their OS with them.
You are most welcome.

They sold you as DX12 game... Yet it can work with DX11. DX12 can work on win 7 if developers want to do it.

Developers went extra lengths to implement apparently approved malware that only certain windows versions can support.

There is not actual gameplay reason to do that.

You were mislead by malicious developers and platform owners who get a cut from sales. So they are happy with spying on users are as well.

Meanwhile VULKAN ain't OSphobic.

It is not worth to post any actual argument because. I tried in the past. Things are already sent in a digital stone.

People will do anything to get their dose and/or to protect their abuser or wash their hands by saying it is not my responsibility... look into Milgram experiment.

As for my gog account. It goes beyond than just commenting on gog forums. Also you need to learn about "Ad hominem."

While I can readily understand people being frustrated with a game not being available on their OS of choice (until very recently, I was still using WinXP), I don't see how that equates to being a "scam." Even if they initially planned for a Win7 capable release and told people as such, they are free to alter their specifications. Unless they are continuing to try and claim it is Win7 compatible (which they aren't as far as I am aware), they aren't "scamming" anyone.

You have otherwise accused them of cutting content, but you don't elaborate on what, if any, content was so cut. And of 'approved malware" bundled with the software, but do not describe it or it's function... are you referring to the "Twitch Integration" package perhaps?

In any event, if you truly believe that there is "no point" in arguing or debating your case... than you essentially forfeit your case. Not only to those that have already decided on their opinion... but to others, including myself, who would have otherwise been curious at least to know what you have to say.

"They are evil because I said so and I'm not going to bother explaining why I say so because someone already disagrees with me" is not a good argument.

Reading this gibberish scammed me out of 10 seconds of my time. I demand a full refund.

Open source it and people will see the horrible code. Geolocating your PC for a single player game.

Can you provide evidence of this or is this just accusation? I see the exe reaches out for news letter and update and points to discord/news channel. I don't see anything grabbing my information.

To each - his own, as the ancient Romans said. If you love Windows 10 so much, that's your right. But NO ONE GIVEN you the right to decide for others.
The developers of "Necromunda: Hired Gun" implemented support for Windows 7 - they got my money. The developers of "The Riftbreaker" preferred "modern OS" - they didn't get my money. You want to support them with your wallet - go ahead.

And Windows 7 is at this point the OS Caesar had on his PDA and other ancient relics. Only reason the Library of Alexandria burned is because the fire control system was still running Windows XP, and not even SP2.

Seriously though, if a developer won't add support for a decade old OS, which has a completely different core, then it's simply a matter of not playing that game. No need to hate on the developer for that. Upgrade your OS instead, you can get Windows 10 for free with a genuine Windows 7 lisence.

Or you can dual-boot, just clone your Windows 7 to a different drive for less hassle down the line, and upgrade one of them to Win 10, and keep using both on the same machine. A 250 GB SSD, which is all you need for a standalone Windows 10 install, cost peanuts.

If anything, hate on Microsoft for making a new OS instead of making the previous one 100 %. Personally, Windows 7 has a lot of benefits I would like to see in Windows 10 - like no freakin' nagging(!) when setting a machine up for the first time. And less spyware. And a way better control panel instead of the Win 10 app crap.

But it is what it is. Adapt by using a modern OS or stay away from games with "limited OS support".

That's exactly what I'm doing.
And I have no problems with people who install Win10 & play modern games. I have problems with people who DEMAND from others to do the same.

It's you who demand them to support W7, 12 year old OS. Each OS version adds to development and testing time.

Developers are just OSphobic. Vulkan works on all major OS.

Officially they cut and put it behind artificial paywall https://www.gog.com/game/the_riftbreaker_original_soundtrack

For the rest you can talk to totally transparent developers who totally don't censor their forums, discord or whatever communication platform.

As of spying, open developers will tell you.

For a singleplayer game you do not need a game to ask you for a internet connection... More details what data is collected and abused is written in terms of service... They own you(r data). Since you don't own the game.
