I think the days of Pre-Order are done

Agreed. BUT, with a 30-day return window on GOG, it's not a bad way to save 10% if it turns out to be good,
Survival Horror (especially from the late 90s early 00s) is one of my favorite genres and I have enjoyed most of Bloober's previous games. The Medium would likely have been an easy purchase for me but Bloober had to go and register a software patent for the concept of one player controlling two characters simultaneously in split screen. Basic gameplay concepts should not be owned - we wouldn't have any video games otherwise. Will not be getting this game any time soon, video game software patents are worse than Denuvo for me.
There's a 30 day return window but the support doesn't reply anymore, so it can take up to 6 months before you receive a refund

Use a reliable credit card that you can issue a chargeback on. They are VERY easy to do in circumstances where you are not obviously abusing it. Showing that 1) The vendor offers a 30 day return clearl on their store and 2) They have been unrreponsive to your requests for those 30 days makes it open and shut for 90% of your issuing banks to automatically creidit your money back to you.

... OR you can just wait and see what they publish on release date and be less likely to have unwanted surprises.
