Is this the entire ED6 trilogy or just one of the games?
Pretty sure that it's just the first game.
It is only the first game, the one that is already out on PSP.
Although the second is already announced and expected for the end of the year or early next year
It's #6 in the Legend of Heroes series. Which orginally the first Legend of Heroes was apart of the Xanadu/Dragon Slayer series.

You can just google Legend of Heroes Series wiki for more info
Trails in the Sky is made up of a First Chapter and Second Chapter, as well as a 3rd Chapter that resolves remaining plotholes and foreshadows the Crossbell and Erebonia-based games. So we're playing FC at the moment, and SC should come out either in Winter of this year or early next year. 3rd getting localized is a matter of sales and precious time, same goes for the following Kiseki games (which all take place in the world of Zemuria).

Too bad XSEED already gave up of the third, as they stated that it's too much for them(there are nearly 3.200m of lines to translate from the japanese). So the chances are against us. I don't think Carpe Fulgur will take all that alone.

I really like the series, but if in the end we'll be missing the 3rd one, they should have translated the Falcom's Zwei I or Zwei II+ game(or both), they are so awesome(mostly talking about II+).

No, an XSEED representative has commented repeatedly that the sales of SC and FC will determine whether TC gets localized.

It's also not as large as SC, actually: http://www.esterior.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/proxy.jpg

Supposedly, the story that starts in FC primarily ends in SC, though TC explores a lot of other plot threads and completely blows open the series -- and they're still not closed even three more installments after that. Some people have characterized TC as a "point of no return".

From what Tom's said, they haven't discontinued the idea, as ambitious as it would be. Assuming the games sell well enough that they can expand a bit, translation wouldn't fall solely on Carpe Fulgur.

Besides, we'd be seeing Zero and Ao no Kiseki if Trails in the Sky really performs. It's all up to Falcom whether the Erebonia saga gets PC ports.

Thank you for the info, guys :)

Crossing fingers, then.
I like JRPG (chrono trigger is still one of the best games ever) and I will buy this, but I have never heard of this before.

If I understand everything right, this is the fist part of a trilogy, so I do not need any knowledge about what happened before to understand this game.
I have played the xenosaga trilogy and there you get completely confused if you do not play all 3 games in the right order.

PS: I don´t know many JRPG for PC, but I want to have Final Fantasy 8 again. I already have the new FF7 PC version.
Yeah, no knowledge from earlier Legend of Heroes is needed for this one. It takes place in a completely new game world. You WILL need this game in order to play the second chapter, which is scheduled for release this winter.

Also, while it's technically a trilogy, this game and the second chapter make up the Liberl story arc and the third game is more of a bridge story to lead into later games.
