I started FC a little while ago and I was really enjoying it for a time. However, after reading some FAQs here and there I learned there are several missable side quests. Ultimately, missing out on these optional quests affects your overall level in the Bracer Guild and, in turn, can stop you from earning really some really good items at the beginning of SC.

Because I don't really an interest in starting a New Game+ (I'm just too strapped for time), is there a game trainer or something I can use to adjust my characters Bracer points before starting SC?

The savegames are pretty hex-edit friendly. If you have just a little bit of experience it's not hard to figure them out. The BP status may be a bit tricky, though. I'd suggest an easier alternative instead - finish FC as normal, and import the less-than-perfect save. Then, once SC starts, simply give yourself the item you'd receive by savegame editing - items are easy to edit/add. According to FAQs, the only noteworthy item you'll be missing is a quartz, easy enough to add in.

Unfortunately, I am not too familiar with hex editing. Also, to be quite honest, I have no interest in learning how to do so either. My hope was that because FC is fairly old at this point there would be a program that could alter my save files.
You can try this save file by Sabin_Stargem:

Thanks for the post! I thought about using one of these complete save files, but my only hang-up was that it would provide too many advantages in SC (e.g., starting money, max levels, etc.). I know it's weird, but I think I would rather alter my own save rather than use someone else's...
In case you're still searching for a way:

It's easy to use Cheat Engine on that game (the tables on the forums are for older versions though and won't work).
Und select the process of the game and scan it for the value your searching for, then cause the value you want to change ingame and scan for the new value do that until you only have the right values you can now save them and change the value to whatever you want and freeze the value by checking the found adress.
Money and Septith are very easy since they only need one adress, CP ist more complicated since it's affected by multiple addresses.

Yes,
you can download the Tool Artmoney for free and use the Table for Trails in Sky FC
from this site: http://www.artmoney.ru/et_win.htm

If you freeze the 'Monster Health' (klick left of the Description) at zero, you will get an instant win after the first move.
If you freeze the Values in the CHAR SLOT x Fight values, your Parameters will be updated each Round.
If you freeze the Parameters on the individual CHAR VALUES, the Parameters will set for one Battle

This Table contains also Information about all of the Items in the Game (in Program: Table->Info->Comment)
So you may create or change the amount of all Items in Game

fine regards Richard
