Hi all,

We have uploaded a new patch for The Legend of Heroes that fixes bugs and increases the overall stability of the game. Please download it from your game shelves at your earliest convenience.

In the case of weird patching errors, please write to Support!

Thanks and enjoy :)
Installed fine for me, for what it's worth. Seems ok.
Stability is starting to reach Nintendo levels!

Seriously, too bad that XSEED isn't providing any changelogs. But at least they seem to properly support their releases. :)
When updating from 2.0.2.4 I got

The Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky patch log
Update from version 2.0.1.3 to 2.0.3.5
followed by a list of 'incorrect version' notices. Patching over a clean installation worked fine, so the problem was presumably with incorrect version detection.
Is this only for bug fixes, or does this also include the HD assets and Bestiary?

Just curious since the Steam version has the aforementioned features - just they were (and might still be) as buggy as when they were first implemented.

EDIT: Nevermind, just downloaded and tested it myself - this is some of the HD assets from the PS3 version - msnily character portraits and different buttons were replaced since they were designed for 4:3 displays. I haven't encountered any issues with any aspect of the patch yet.

Still no bestiary yet, though.

Snap, right when I'm near the end of the game too. Backup my saves? (though there is no access to the original first patch that my current version is?)

I installed the new patch and just kept on playing from where I was - it's only adding in some bug fixes and the PS3 HD assets, so I'd say you're probably ok. To be safe I'd back up the game folder and your save files somewhere else though.

Where are the save files. Is this a program files thing? And yeah, I'm assuming that by the time GOG puts out the patch that usually means it's been tested to high place, but can never be too sure you know?

Just open the config tool in your install folder and it'll automatically open up the folder where all the save are stored. It should be in:

C:\Users\[Username here]\Application Data\FALCOM\ED6

Thanks! No problems on my end with the patch. It looks like the character images have been upgraded to higher resolution.
You guys think is worth installing the update? I'm like half-way through with Chapter 2...

I'm still using the 2.0.1.3 version with japanese voices and works very well, so... can you post the release notes of this version (2.0.3.5)?

My old saves seem to work fine, but I see no difference in the character portraits. Just as pixelated as before.

The saves work with the patch, so there's no need to start over again. Just patch the game and continue where you left off.

Try different resolutions? I think I was using 1920x1080. They were pixellated before, but suddenly became really sharp after this patch.

If you look at the config file and see that "High Res. Assets (WIP)" is checked off, that just means that you are not playing the game at high enough resolution for those assets to take place. Keeping mind that the new HD assets are from the PS3 remaster of the game, they might only work in the game at or past resolutions like 720p.
