Another month passes by and nothing. I'm not very optimistic that we'll see another patch this year.

Supposedly the Second Chapter will be out in "late 2014". Work may have shifted to that. Frankly, the missing bestiary isn't really bothering me at all. There's always the option to slot Information quartz.

The beastiary is one thing (and it was promised "soon" after release) but the game is still rather buggy, it's still crashing straight to desktop when I press the camp button and then press the button that replaces it.

A bug patch is what I was thinking of, but the beastiary I've filed under promises that are not going to be kept. I just don't expect it any more and the developer has been completely silent on the matter.

Speaking for myself, I don't see myslelf buying the next chapter if this game is going to be abandoned in this state and with gameplay promises "forgotten".

At the very least the developer could spend five minutes to communicate the status of this game.

edit: there was a patch on Steam on Oct 27, nothing here yet. As usual there's no information on what it fixes nor any trace of it here on gog.com

I can't help but feel like the game is incomplete without that bestiary, though.

I don't know if there are any secret monsters in the game, but still...

Also, the game is missing some HD features, right?

As far as I know, yes. The HD features are still WIP (Work In Progress).
I don't care nearly as much about the bestiary as I did that they *promised* it and frankly the game isn't stable enough to be abandoned at this stage.

And it kinda hasn't been, Steam has been getting updates, but nothing on gog.com

And still no bestiary, the months pass.

JudasIscariot: Hi all,

We have uploaded a new patch for The Legend of Heroes that fixes bugs and increases the overall stability of the game. Please download it from your game shelves at your earliest convenience.

In the case of weird patching errors, please write to Support!

Thanks and enjoy :)
Any news on a new patch? It's been quite a while. :)

I wrote to support a little while ago, but didn't hear anything back from them yet.

Since XSEED has moved focus for the time being in order to get Corpse Party PC out the door (they literally only have ONE programmer to do all their PC work), it probably won't be until next year that we even hear anything about getting more patches either on Steam or on GOG.com. That being said, I'm hoping (and I'm sure XSEED is hoping) that they can release the final patches for Trails FC soon so that they can finish work on Trails SC and get more Trails games on the market. Considering that FC and SC use the same PC engine, there should hopefully be far fewer issues with the sequel after they iron out all the issues and add-in all the features to the first Trails game.

tl;dr - no real news on a new patch yet, but here's hoping that early 2015 brings better news for us Trails fans on GOG.com ^^

From my experience, if they didn't replied you so far, they won't do it anymore. I sent them an e-mail for over 2 months already and no response.

If I'm allowed to conjecture here, I feel like something is not going right about this game, speaking of future patches/bestiary.

I only found one bug in-game from a complete gameplay, but I wish to see this game complete.
