Hi,

the game works well but i have a Little Problems with some graphic problems.
When i in my Office and wanna send my Transporter to the market i see only the half Transporter... the right side is invisible. Same Problem between the rounds. You see a scroll with you income and what you must pay this round but the right side of the scroll is invisible.

Maybe somebody can help me.

Thanks

I have the same problem and no amount a fiddling on my end has fixed it. I would be greatly interested if anyone can find a solution.

Do you also get freaky graphical glitches when looking at the one of the improvements screens sometimes?

Sounds like you're running the T&L version. I greedily re-downloaded this when GOG updated it, thinking that this was fixed, since that version looks so much nicer - at least the bits that work. Unfortunately these problems remain.

Anyway, if you use the "standard" link - the one simply labelled "The Guild Gold" (or "Die Gilde" for you I presume?) as opposed to the "T&L" one - everything should work fine. If for some reason you don't have another "The Guild Gold"/"Die Gilde" link without "T&L" or "TL" in it, check the game directory and run "Europa1400Gold.exe" instead of "Europa1400Gold_TL.exe".

I was using the TL version but the other version is super laggy and only gets worse as time goes on. As it sits I have a super laggy version and a version with graphical glitches so I usally choose the latter, though I do mess with both of them commonly to see if I can get them to work better. Its a shame too because it worked great on my old computer that managed to melt internally. As it sits I will either keep messing with it over time or hope the gog fairies release a patch for the lagging.

I've actually done the same in the past, but I tend to mostly play the non-T&L version. My machine is pretty ancient but can usually handle it - though Nuremberg becomes unplayable after a while, but all other maps are fine.

I am using a fairly new computer (less than a year old) so I dont think thats causing the problem. also it lagging in the menu and when setting up a new game as well. I just think its having some campatibility issues.

That's weird, that's never happened to me before - it's never laggy at the start for me.

Are you using Windows 8 by any chance? I think it's having issues with Win 8 (there's another thread in this forum about that), but unfortunately the work-around is to use the T&L version. :(

Maybe shoot GOG support a message? Even if they can't fix it straight away it might spur them to either magically fix the T&L version or do something to make it more playable for that OS.

I am using windows 8 and thought that may have something to do with it. I may send gog support a message.
