Hello,
I read the 'unable to save game' post here, but I'm having a different problem.
When I try to save my game, I open Oracle, click Disc, choose Save, click on the number 1., type something in and press enter. Then nothing happens. There's nothing to say that the game is saved or that the save is canceled. It just goes back to the blank black oracle screen, and when I try to load, then nothing is there. Is there a work around or something for this?
If you have any idea then let me know soon! I am going to keep the game open as long as possible because I really don't want to have to start all over again. If there's a flaw with the game it's that there's soooo much slow walking!

Hey, Are you using vista or win7? If so it could be a permission issue.

I'm using Vista. It wouldn't surprise me if it was a permission issue actually... I'll try installing it to my documents.

Hi,
When you type a name for the save and press enter, the text 'Saved OK' should appear on the screen.
On Vista/Win7, you probably will have to run the game as admin, otherwise, like Ralackk mentioned, you may run into problems with saves and settings and whatnot. Unfortunately to test this theory you'll have to quit the game, apply the 'Run as admin' setting to the shortcut and then restart the game. Naturally after that you should make sure you're able to save and load properly as soon as the game starts so you don't loose your progress again.
As for your progress right now, how far along are you ? There are a couple of saves available here. Maybe play untill one of these spots and then use one of the saves to resume from there.

That works perfectly. I installed it into My Documents and it saves now. Thank you SO much mate! It hadn't occurred to me that Vista would reject a save game even though I'd accepted the programme as an administrator. Bleh.
Thanks so much for the quick response! I can't wait to play again.
That also would have worked. I did a reinstall too just to be safe. It seems to be fine now, thank you!
