Ever since the 1.4.2.3 17th of may 2021 update it won't run and just crashes, the "Verify/Repair" always redownloads and reinstalls the game but the game always fails to run, whether in GOG Galaxy or out of It.

I have GOG Galaxy, Steam and Epic (integrated and also separate launcher) the game doesn't run in any combination of above

Windows 8.1 Pro, 4Gb RAM

Have you tried installing from the offline installer?
If you downloaded it the moment you bought it, you should have all the offline patches up to now, to pick and chose from.
