hi,

played for awhile and closed it down for the nite. it asked me to save and i said yes and exited. today when i start the game it asks to resume game from the group portrait page, click ok then it opens the help page with a description of the game and 2 links. (butterfly test site and the yellow continue arrow) none of the links work

really dont want to start over again as the game isnt that good to start with, just a mild curiosity to see the end. any ideas on how to get my save back?


also, if no ideas are forthcoming, anyone have a save game i can use, bout midway thru game?

nvm, i restarted the game once i realized i can fast fwd thru the clips by dragging the video play bar almost to the end (it balks if you go all the way). i assume this may give me another glitch error so im saving freq and will make sure not to overwrite the save if it glitches again. restarted tho im playing in compatibility mode for windows vista SP2 as someone suggested on steam forum.

On Win10 Videos do not play anymore when I switch into Vista SP2 mode, same in Win98 comp. mode.

For me the dead link / freeze issue happens basically on every 2nd screen. With the new cloud save option active the manual backup seems like me only option to proceed...

Are these the only files which need saving?
c:\users\myname\...
AppData\TLC\Local Storage\file__0.localstorage and AppData\TLC\Local Storage\file__0.localstorage-journal ?

sorry, I have no idea, seeing as how these issues were months ago, I would hope that the devs had worked a patch or there may be a current workaround. I would google and see if someone has, steam forums usually help too
