No idea how/when it happened, but it happened. Don't know which stat either (its an NPC) but I suspect its STR since his encumbrance has dropped. Any way to fix it?

Restoration spell should work. Either have your cleric remember one, or cast one from scroll.

What level would that be? I'm still in the first town.

Are you sure you haven't caught a disease? Are there any red or purple icons on the affected party members portrait? If it is a sickness you need lots of sleep until you recover.

It's lvl2 spell.
But if you're still in first town, then robobrien is probably right and you could most likely just sleep it off.

I don't have the game running right now, but there was a little tab on the bottom left of the character portrait that said "Ability Damaged" when I hovered over it.
