// SYSTEM SHOCK: REWIRED
by the_3rdplayer
System Shock: Rewired is the very first full fan made singleplayer campaign for the original System Shock in over 24 years! 3 brand new levels with branching paths, 4 new cyberspace sections, new puzzles, brand new soundtrack by SpeedySPCFan, new fully voiced audiologs, new on-screen text and so much more awaits in the now dark corridors of the hospital ship UNN Bismarck. Playable with all existing versions of System Shock (Enhanced Edition recommended). What are you waiting for? SHODAN waits for your return! And she is eager to end your - in her opinion - useless existence.

// DOWNLOAD v1.31 https://www.moddb.com/mods/sshockrewired/downloads/version1

Thanks a lot the_3rdplayer!
I've just learned about the mod from I think this Shock deserves more visibility thread.
Will try it out for sure!
the_3rdplayer, I'm Kilg0re_Tr0ut from the GOG Twitch streamteam. Just to let you know that starting sometime next week (after my Redline playthrough) I will be playing your Rewired mod at twitch.tv/gogcom . Keep an eye out for the schedule at j.mp/streaming_schedule

just updated the topic! thanks for pump !
Hi,

I can't play the mod...

I have followed instruction and extract the zip in the res\mission of my installation (Update Port). Wich contains no files at all, just the "Archive" folder.

I launch the game as usual.

When I check the modifications, I got the "Citadel Station" mission wich is, I presume, the mission of the original game itself, but no Rewired mission... (Screen attached)

And when I start a new game, it's the usual start...

Where did I got wrong ? What do I miss ?

the fan mission needs to be in its own folder in the res\mission folder. //basically just drag and drop the "rewired" folder from the archive to the res\mission folder, that should do it.

That does perfectly the trick, after a quit and a relaunch !
Thanks a lot !

My bad, I thought it was the content of the folder, not the folder itself...
I'm not as good in english as I think probably ;) !
Just finished the Mod, I think...

But on a bug, I will try later once more to confirm : Not any SHODAN to kill ! :p Just two mobs, loss of nearly control, screen starting to fade on Shodan's face, even if I exit the Cyberspace LOL...
Anyway, not so a big deal, hoping it is some kind of the same ending in the original game...

First of all : CONGRATULATION ! Really good job, and, I must say : I want more ! Please ;) !

Difficulty is OK, areas are huge, even too much some times, the maze aspect is cool ! Even in Cyperspace, really, really good job. And thanks to the maze aspect, I presume there are some "replaying" possibilities...

Voice acting is cool, but a little cold, a little too impersonnal, too scolar maybe... Shodan needs more stuttering and fuzzy effects...

As I said just above, maybe a little too "mazy", but that's OK...

Oh, and i found a glitch/bug, I think : in the Throne room, the "ramp" to the windows just facing the long ramp to the cyber port, between the entrance and the Cortex Reaver, is radiations/poisonning free... Maybe it's on purpose, maybe not ;)...

Once again, THANKS and CONGRATS !
Best regards from France !

I've just done that. It doesn't work. All it says is "citadel station" in missions and "DOSfaces" in mods when I launch the game and look in the modifications folder. Is there something I'm doing wrong? The folder is in the right spot but the game fails to recognise it. Yes, it is the one simply called "rewired" without the version number.

EDIT: Nevermind. It was in the wrong missions folder: It needs to go in the one under App Data (on C Drive), Local, Roaming.

you need to place it in %APPDATA%\Nightdive Studios\System Shock EE\missions now.

Thanks but I've just discovered that on my own and was updating my post by the time you replied. Thank you anyway though. :)
For some reason, System Shock Enhanced is not reading the mod. I've downloaded the updated version, I've put the rewired file into the res/missions folder, but still, it does not read. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game just to make sure. What could the problem be?

Worked for me with the Enhanced Version from GOG? I have 2 folders in my res/missions folder now: archive & rewired and the new mission shows up in the Modifications menu as System Shock ReWired.

I know it's been a long time, but did you ever figure this out? I'm having the exact same issue.
