So, installed the update, and no joy. Get an "error" message (with no other text) after the intro movie whether I am running in or out of GoG galaxy. Windows 10 with nVidia GeForce 960 GTX.

my sse started with error from parse source. its not a crash, but similar.
c:\job\prj\shockenhanced\kex3_selkis\source\rhi\rhicontextd3d11.cpp
can any help?

once i have started SSE first time ive changed th renderer from directX to openGL
and now the game crashes on start giving me the next message:
"GL shader version 140 is below minimum requirements"
i coudnt find a way to change a renedere (there is no .ini or .cfg file in installation)
i tried to reinstall the game, but it still crushes (i ve tried to find its trails in windows registry but failed)
what i supposed to do?

open %APPDATA%\Nightdive Studios\System Shock EE\ and edit kexengine.cfg, seta r_rhirenderfamily "d3d11", that should start the game with D3D.

Follow voodoo47's instructions. That list you show are not the files in "%APPDATA%\Nightdive Studios\System Shock EE\" but in the game's root dir.

but i have no such file
here is the file list from the clean install (yeah i ve reinstalled the game again)
now it's working
